So the problem of buying a bunch of comics from several different antique stores:
While I managed to magically nab the first issue of a few different things (Hawkeye & Mockingbird, a ‘96 Iron Man origin story, New Avengers, and Avengers Forever), I also have a bunch that are late in the game and already in the middle of a particular storyline.
I mean I totally didn’t expect to get the first issue of The Avengers or anything. But several of the issues that I DID get are, yeah, already in the middle of something. Except for one of them. I got one that had just started a particular story. And it’s pretty interesting and showcased a lot of my babies, Captain America and Hawkeye, so! I’m happy about that.
BUT. but.
It essentially means that now I’m left in suspense. because even though I could google this stuff (probably) I don’t want to. I WANT TO READ IT. And I can’t. Because I’m missing so many of the issues :(
So now I’m going to be a late-in-life comic book collector because I need ALL the things about these guys. Well. Most of them. I’m not bothering with The Incredible Hulk because. well. theHulkismyleastfavoriteAvenger. shhh.
But anyways this means I probably have to like. Go on ebay or something to find all the things I want/need. Like. Snort. I have Avengers Forever 1, 3, and 6. I kinda want 2, 4, 5, 7-12 BI And so on.
Sigh. And I never thought I’d be an American Comics collector.
